4Biz Partners

We don't just advise your growth. We invest in it.

4Biz Partners is our risk-sharing arm: for a select few scale-ups and family businesses, we tie our reward to the value we help create—through equity, earn-outs, and hands-on partnership.

The idea

Not a consultant. A partner.

Most consultants are paid whether or not you win. We wanted the opposite incentive. 4Biz Partners exists for the cases where we believe in the upside enough to carry part of the risk—where 35+ years of operating, scaling and transforming companies is worth more as skin in the game than as a day rate.

Three ways to partner

A ladder of shared risk.

We start where the fit is clearest and climb as trust and evidence grow.

01

Advisory-for-equity

Senior-led advisory where part of the fee is converted into equity or options. Lower risk for both sides—the natural first step.

Lower risk
02

Value / earn-out

We define the outcome together—growth, margin, a successful raise or exit—and share an agreed slice of the value we help create. Our frameworks set the KPIs.

Shared upside
03

Venture-partner

True partnership in a select few companies—real equity and an active operating role. Two or three bets a year, no more, where we commit like owners.

Who we partner with

We're selective—on purpose.

Shared risk only works when the fit is real. We look for a handful of signals before we commit.

→

A scale-up or family business with real growth ahead—and the ambition to lead its market, not just survive it.

→

Owners and leadership we trust—open books, aligned values, and the willingness to change how they decide.

→

A clear value lever we can move—where strategy, customer, product or org design turns into measurable upside.

How it works

From diagnosis to shared stake.

No hand-off, no slideware. A clear path from first look to a partnership we both believe in.

01

Diagnose

We run the diagnostics and a deep-dive to size the real opportunity—and the risk.

02

Define the win

Together we name the outcome and the KPIs that define success.

03

Structure the deal

We agree the model—equity, earn-out or operating partnership—and the share.

04

Build, side by side

We don't hand over a plan—we help run it, with skin in the game.

Straight answers

The questions owners actually ask.

Q

Isn't there a conflict of interest with your consulting?

We never do both in the same company. A firm is either a fee client or a partner—never both—and we don't take equity stakes in direct competitors.

Q

What if the business doesn't grow?

That's the point of shared risk: when the upside doesn't materialize, neither does much of our reward. We only propose this where we'd bet on the outcome ourselves.

Q

How much of my company would you take?

Always a minority, always negotiated to the value we actually add—and structured so you stay firmly in control of your business.

Start here

Let's talk about a bet.

Tell us about your business and where the real growth is. If it's a fit for shared risk, we'll say so—and if it isn't, we'll tell you that too.
